French Language School in Hyeres

Location: The language school in Provence is located in Hyeres, on the Mediterranean coast, between Nice and Marseille, at the junction of Provence and the Riviera.

Facilities: Our school was built Specifically for its purpose. It has 12 well lit and roomy air conditioned classrooms with overhead projectors and tape-recorders. We have three video rooms and a language laboratory which students have free access to in the afternoon. You can borrow books and cassettes for free from the library. We have a beautiful Mediterranean garden, a capacious terrace with tables, chairs and sun-shades where you can relax, work and eat. There is a self-service restaurant with drinks and reasonably priced meals prepared on the premises. We have free internet and wi-fi access as well as a Boule court, ping pong tables and other games such as backgammon and scrabble. We also have bicycles for rent.

Teachers: All are university graduates with a lot of experience teaching French as a second language.

Materials: Included with tuition.

Course Duration: One-week minimum.

Lessons: 55 minutes.

Levels: All (absolute beginners must take individual instruction).

In the city center you can find a theatre, a casino, a 3000 seat auditorium, cinemas, restaurants, discotheques, etc. Hyères also has 20 kilometers of beautiful and clean beaches and one of the largest pleasure ports in the South of France, where you can wander admiring the yachts or relax in one of the numerous restaurants and cafes. Other nearby attractions include a protected national park and islands. The climate provides for numerous opportunities for sports enthusiasts such as windsurfing, sailing, swimming, horse riding, tennis, golf, etc. Living with a French family provides the best cultural interaction and language practice available, should you choose this option.

Description: Home stay - private room, shared bathroom, laundry service, half board; Private apartment - all have fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, bed linen and towels, and utilities included, other amenities vary by price and can include TV, dvd, wi-fi, washing machine, etc. Hotel amenities vary by price.

Meals: No meals with private apartments, half board with home stay.

Travel time to school: Varies from easy walking distance to 7Km.

Airport pickup: Free of charge from Toulon-Hyeres airport if booking home stay accomodation; no pick up for studio or hotel accomodation.
