Lucca is one of the rare Tuscan towns that has kept its original urban structure, with the Roman walls defining and protecting the center of the city from vehicular traffic. There is a fascinating mix of architectural styles co-mingling here that spans from the Roman era through the late 19th century. We are 30 minutes from Pisa and one hour from Florence. Living with an Italian family provides many opportunities to experience the local culture and is an important part of your experience at the school, should you choose this option.
